Vintage Calendars for Decorating the Old Fashioned Way

There are so many ways to use vintage linen calendars to enhance the country look, shabby chic look, or coordinate with true antiques in your home. An eclectic mix of styles will be spiced up with just the right towel, too. Even modern decor can benefit from just the right choice of vintage calendar towels. Whether you use the towels in your kitchen, frame them, hang them on a dowel, or only use the decorative half of the towel, there are lots of ways to benefit from these artistic, but practical everyday items from long ago.

Have you found creative uses for vintage linen towels that I have not mentioned? Would you please share them with us, so we can all benefit from your ideas?

You can find some of our vintage calendar towels now for sale in our Dirty Butter Estates Collectibles Shoppe.

I remember those towel calendars! I never knew what to do with them after the year was up so they got thrown out. Who knew!!??

Anyhow ... just wanted to let you know I'm adding Yesterday's Memories to my blog roll.

I'm sure you're not alone in not keeping them, but a lot of people did. Many kept using them as dish towels. My mother did, and hers are all faded out to near white.

They do a really good job of drying glassware, particularly, as they are lint free. And, just as everything else, some people collect them.

I'm honored that you would add us to your links, Mama Mouse. We really appreciate that.

Enjoyed looking at your site. Thank you for all the hard work you do to present these things.

If you haven't seen the spectacular pictures of a rainbow that is circulating you might want to check out my site. It is almost unbelievable.

Blessings,

Shirley

Wow, I love those psychedelic owls!

Psychedelic is a good word for them, Lily! We bought a lot of owl items at that estate sale, and we've sold every one at a good price we've put up for auction so far. She had quite a collection!
